Community service has always been an
integral part and parcel of our education. We, in Edmonton call it Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW). Regular trips to neglected areas are a routine in the life of every student. Our school in its very own surroundings bestows the village. The students have been going to this village and interacting with the less privileged and also helping them.
LITRARY ACTIVITIES
The children have enough scope to excel and exhibit their skills with their pen and thinking caps, believing that "the pen is mightier than the sword". They resort to express all their thoughts and feelings and ideas through their writings. Besides writing articles, poems and other features for the school publication they also participate in debates, declamation and quiz contests at Inter school, National and International levels.
EXHIBITIONS
Students are engaged all the year round, busy with some activity or the other devoting their time to handwork, stitching, sewing, gardening and so forth. These are exhibited during various exhibitions held in the school. There is science exhibition, the art and craft exhibition and the like.
EDUCATIONAL TOURS & EXCURSIONS
The school strongly believes in,"Practice without Theory is sterile and Theory without Practice is futile". To give them first hand and in-depth information and to help them relate text book knowledge with reality around them tours and excursions are regular features with the school going several places.
BESTOWAL DAY
The bestowal day in the last function of the academic year, what could be better then ending the year with the bestowal of awards and prizes to all who deserve?
This function has its own unique quality about it, Splash with colour and sound this is no less grand but also serves as a nostalgic day for all who are best bestowed marks and token of distinction and even for those who witnessed it.
